As project director, I led my team in developing an Instagram reel to highlight a City of Orlando Parks and Recreation amenity. Our goal was to create something that stood out from traditional government communications. We wanted the final piece to feel imaginative, relatable, and memorable.
After our initial brainstorm, the winning concept was a parody of a David Attenborough nature documentary that showed how parks provide a natural habitat for all types of people. I guided the team through ideation, script development, and visual planning while creating a full scene-by-scene storyboard to align tone, pacing, and humor.
I oversaw the scouting of four city parks and selected Demetree Park for its cinematic layout and its ideal bench-and-basketball-court composition. On shoot day, I directed the actors, filmed each scene, and later recorded the Attenborough-style narration. Using Adobe Premiere and Audition, I completed the editing, sound design, and pacing to deliver a cohesive final cut.
The reel earned strong engagement on city social channels and sparked a request to begin scouting new locations for a future series.
