For Mayor Dyer’s 2025 State of the City, I was responsible for developing visual support that brought key accomplishments to life. The speech highlighted a wide range of successes, from public safety to small business growth, and I needed to create a visual system that could reinforce each theme while staying unified and polished.
Working with a library of still photographs, I designed a collage-driven approach that introduced subtle graphic elements to bridge diverse subject matter. I developed a layout style that created depth through selective cropping, layered composition, and curated pacing. As each topic was addressed, the corresponding photos revealed themselves gradually, giving the audience a clear visual connection without overshadowing the message.
This approach allowed the visuals to feel cohesive, purposeful, and aligned with the tone of the speech. It also created a flexible framework that can be adapted for future presentations and storytelling moments across the organization.
